Enabling Communion

How do we get people to work together?

Our school, parish and wider community work together to ensure that Christ is celebrated, shared, proclaimed and lived, where everyone is welcomed and valued, and all have a sense of responsibility for the life of the community and the world.

‘You are the light of the world, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven’ (Matthew 5:14-16).

What are we doing to Enable Communion in school? Plans for 2023-2024

  • Ensure every child has an opportunity to take an active role in chaplaincy, overseen by our School Chaplain, Mrs Fernandes.
  • Form a new Chaplaincy Council to assist in the organisation of the chaplaincy team, which is ever growing- Vote members in; Meet regularly; Monitor Prayer and Liturgy.
  • Live Simply Ambassadors work together to create a ‘Live Simply Pledge’ and devise an action plan to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with our local, national and global communities.
  • Chaplains to invite members of the local care home/parish community to the end of year production and plan, prepare and deliver nibbles for afterwards
  • All cluster schools to take part in the stations of the Cross Service.
